RV GUIDELINES
The Only Winter RV Camping in June Lake
Camping in your RV during winter offers a one-of-a-kind adventure, but it also comes with unique challenges. We strongly encourage you to review these guidelines and conduct your own research to ensure you’re fully prepared for what winter camping entails.
Every RV is different. Some are better equipped for cold weather than others.
To ensure a comfortable stay:
- Understand your RV’s insulation and heating capabilities.
- Consider bringing an extra heater, propane tanks, and plenty of blankets.
- Prepare for colder nights by insulating windows and doors to retain heat.
Winter travel, especially with a large rig, can be tricky.
Keep these tips in mind:
- Regularly check road conditions and closures before your trip.
- Carry essential winter travel equipment such as snow chains or snow tires.
- Drive cautiously and allow extra time to reach us safely.
Water Hookups: To prevent freezing damage, we cannot offer water hookups during the winter.
Holding Tanks: Avoid storing water or sewage in your RV’s tanks. Frozen fluids can expand and damage your system. Our sewer connections remain active, allowing you to dump tanks during the day if temperatures are above freezing.
Electrical Hookups: You’ll have access to 30- and 50-amp electrical service to power heaters and other essentials.
Bathrooms: Both of our shared bathrooms are fully operational year-round. Enjoy hot showers, warm sinks, and heated floors, along with wall heaters for added comfort.
Sauna: Our campground sauna is the perfect way to relax and recover after a day on the slopes. Warm up, rejuvenate, and prepare for another full day of mountain fun.
We are excited to host you this winter and provide a safe, cozy, and adventurous experience. With the right preparation, winter RV camping can be one of the most rewarding ways to enjoy the beauty of the season.
Stay warm, drive safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
